KEN WAS A GIFTED ARCHITECT WHO GAVE GENEROUSLY OF HIS TIME TO ADVANCE THE PROFESSION
Ken loved architecture and was a role model and mentor for countless architects. His many accomplishments included a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University, the AIA Michigan Gold Medal, the AIA Detroit Gold Medal, the AIA Detroit Charles Blessing Award, and the Martin Luther King Social Justice Award from Ferris State University.
The Kenneth Neumann Design Scholarship was established in his honor to provide scholarships for graduate architecture students from the University of Michigan, University of Detroit Mercy and Lawrence Technological University schools of architecture. Scholarship requirements and applications are available through the Michigan Architectural Foundation.
Contributions to the scholarship fund can be made to the Michigan Architectural Foundation, 553 East Jefferson Avenue, Detroit, MI 48226. Checks should specifically reference the Kenneth Neumann Design Scholarship.
