The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills as well as an understanding of building codes and ADA requirements. You will support projects in the development of concepts, which are incorporated into a final product in conjunction with the work of other architects and technicians.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Develop technical construction documents in Revit and CAD

The ideal candidate is a licensed architect with strong leadership and client management skills, as well as experience guiding complex architectural projects from planning through delivery. You will lead project teams, manage schedules and resources, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients while ensuring successful project outcomes.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking an Interior Designer in our Southfield studio and will involve collaborating with our Design team to deliver exceptional design outcomes for our clients. The ideal candidate is a creative and collaborative designer with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences. You will have a proven track record of independently applying architectural concepts and leading investigation, evaluation, programming, and recommended solutions that best fit the client’s needs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

- Craft compelling design narratives and project storytelling that clearly communicate the vision and intent of each project

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Marketing Manager serves as a strategic link between marketing and business development efforts, ensuring that brand positioning, client engagement, and pursuit activities are aligned to support client acquisition and retention. This role leverages tools such as CRM to connect marketing activity with business development outcomes and long-range firm goals.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Work alongside senior leadership and principals to manage and produce RFP/RFQ responses, including strategy development, consistent messaging, content coordination, and final delivery
- Coordinate resumes, project sheets, narratives, and graphics
- Support interview presentations, preparation, developing interview decks, translating firm strategy into clear market facing language
- Create and implement integrated marketing campaigns across digital, email, website, and print platforms
- Manage the firm’s social media platforms, developing and executing content strategies that highlight firm thought leadership, culture, projects, events
YOUR EDUCATION & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, PR, or related with minimum 5 years of experience

internship program
During our 15-week program, interns become a part of the Neumann/Smith team. They are assigned a mentor, participate in our “A+D Academy,” attend site visits, client meetings, and gain experience in a variety of project types. Our program parallels the NCARB AXP and NCIDQ guidelines to assist in the reporting of experience hours used to meet licensure requirements.

Kenneth Neumann, a visionary architect, avid mentor, and one of our firm’s founders, earned a Master of Architecture from Harvard University and received multiple awards, including the AIA Michigan Gold Medal, AIA Detroit Gold Medal, and the Martin Luther King Social Justice Award from Ferris State University.
We established the Kenneth Neumann Design Scholarship to honor Ken’s legacy and commitment to education for architecture students in the state of Michigan.
