embracing history / looking forward

We saw renovating the historic First National Lobby as an opportunity to pay homage to Detroit’s storied past while highlighting its dynamic evolution. The ornate original ceiling, uncovered and restored, serves as a central design feature. A custom-designed LED light installation flows through the space; a nod to the city’s forward momentum. We also added a new barrier-free entrance, video display wall and striking wrap-around LED lighting panels that unify both elevator lobbies.
