Global Brand, Local Identity
Microsoft Detroit
After 30 years in Southfield, Microsoft relocated its regional Technology Center to downtown Detroit, joining the heart of the central business district, and the fifth floor of One Campus Martius. The office blends workplace, training, and client engagement areas. Customers experience hands-on demos, envisioning sessions, and maker’s spaces, while employees benefit from flexible work points, support counters, and conference rooms. Anchored by a living-room-style reception and two kitchen-inspired serveries, the center fosters collaboration in an environment that feels both industrial and welcoming.
vision
Microsoft envisioned a workplace that reflects both its global brand and Detroit’s cultural identity. The relocation symbolized a shift—bringing employees, partners, and clients together in a space designed to inspire creativity and collaboration, with visual connections carried throughout the office. The Technology Center empowers people to achieve more by reinventing productivity through hands-on experiences, demonstrations, and training that directly address the challenges of today’s mobile, cloud-based world.
