Michigan’s Optometry Centerpiece

FSU College of Optometry

Home to Michigan’s only college of optometry, Ferris State University’s LEED Gold facility combines clinical, academic, and lab spaces in a bold, modern form. The first-floor public eye clinic offers hands-on student training, while the second-floor lobby serves as the main academic entry with classrooms and social spaces. The third-floor features a unique teaching-in-the-round pre-clinic lab. Sustainable design strategies include high-performance insulation, bioswales, and water-saving systems, resulting in a building that is both efficient and purposefully student-focused.
