One Kennedy Square’s striking green-glass façade has become a staple of downtown Detroit, serving as a backdrop to Campus Martius park. Built on a triangular site above a city-owned parking underground garage, Neumann/Smith’s design maximized efficiency by cantilevering sections over the sidewalks, reducing columns and creating prime corner offices. A transparent glass first floor enhances connectivity, while the undulating Woodward Avenue façade adds both visual interest and functional office space.
