Renewing Sacred Space
St. Michael Church
In celebration of its 75th anniversary, St. Michael the Archangel Church in Livonia underwent a significant renovation and expansion. The design honors the original 1961 Bermuda roof structure while introducing a prominent new entry, a light-filled two-story narthex, and an outdoor plaza. Upgrades include a bridal suite, children’s room, and improved amenities. The chancel was enlarged for better visibility, and salvaged stained glass preserves the church’s legacy. The result is a welcoming space that supports the parish’s growing worship and community needs.
